Accredited Business Services, ABS, was first organized as a sole proprietorship on December 7, 1978 and registered in Champaign County, IL d/b/a EKW Systems, changed to ABS in 1993. While our initial service area included East and Central Illinois and West Central Indiana we currently serve clients in fourteen states. Our business services includes small business accounting support, payroll processing, business administrative assistance, financial compliance reporting and governmental agency compliance document processing. The business reports we issue are income tax based and provided for management's internal use.

While ABS initially specialized in retail service stations, full service and convenience stores, we have expanded our expertise to automotive parts stores, automotive maintenance and repair centers, towing and recovery services, various traditional retail establishments, restaurants and fast food outlets, grocery stores and bulk wholesale merchandisers. Our clients utilize several of the more popular computer based software products to generate the necessary document flow for our report and tax processing.

Whether a home based enterprise or a more complex business entity, we have assisted many clients from start-up through to retirement and business succession. Keeping our clients governmental agency compliant while focusing upon business issues has been our service objective. Helping business owners and entrepreneurs through the myriad of documents and forms on a regular basis has been our ongoing routine. Biography

A 1967 graduate of Purdue University, BA, and post graduate work at the University of Illinois, a non-degree business administration studies program, plus Parkland College in Champaign, IL, in a non-degree accounting studies program.

Career highlights include: Past president of the National Society of Accountants (2003-2004); Past president of the Independent Accountants Association of Illinois (1993-1994); Owner, Accredited Business Services 1978-present; Franchisee, Edwin K. Williams & Co, 1978-1993; Various management and administration positions, Sears, Roebuck & Co., 1969-1978.

Member: Practitioner Advisory Board, Illinois Department of Revenue, Springfield, IL and Parkland College Accounting Advisory Board, Champaign, IL. Recognized by Accounting Today on their list of 2004 Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting, 9/20/2004.
