So just what is (oneplusone)³ all about; why are accountants and tax professionals from around the country coming together to improve the profession and help build each other’s practices? The answer is simple, it is the structure of (oneplusone)³ which is drawing your fellow practitioners together. That structure has a two-fold aspect; first, this is not a membership organization. It is a collective commitment to each other and our clients. We set aside our competiveness and instead focus on mutual support, the concept of helping each other. As we share with each other, the improvements and support we each receive are compounded exponentially. Second, we are just the opposite of most organizations. We are not a top down group; we are a bottom up affiliation. We believe that everything emanates at the lowest level, our individual affiliates, and radiates upwards.

As an affiliate, you will be able to download practice helps such as engagement letters, report letters, marketing material, check off sheets, sample client communications, and in general, everyday needs of your practice, all in a word document format ready for you to customize for your practice. You will find a section on Handy Hand Outs which are documents you can simply click on and print for your clients, on topics that clients ask about almost daily. Not only can you find all of these resources, they are all tested helps provided by experienced practitioners, and they really work, you can upload items that you have found useful in your practice to share with others. By sharing, you are making you contribution to the profession and the success of all fellow affiliates.

As an affiliate, you can log into the discussion boards and both ask and answer questions on tax, accounting, financial planning, and practice management topics. If you don’t find the topic you are looking for, you can start you own discussion thread. A lively discussion adds to each of our knowledge bases. Plus, you can view many articles provided by other practicing accounting and tax professionals on topics of current interest including practice management, office management, taxation and accounting. This becomes you personal library on out profession.

As an affiliate, you can learn what vendors of supplies, programs, equipment and services your fellow practitioners are recommending. And many of these vendors offer discounts to our affiliates, many times far more than the small annual fee our affiliates pay to be a part of (oneplusone)³ proving that there is indeed strength in numbers. Plus, you can find continuing education opportunities available to our affiliates on topics that peak interest and focus on the true needs of our every day practices.

The list of reasons YOU should become an affiliate today is endless. You only begin when you do become an affiliate, the true value becomes more apparent every month as you interact with your fellow practitioners. You can experience the grass roots up approach to your representation on the hill in Washington DC, as Dan Setters is your advocate, expressing your opinions and wishes to Congress. Again, this is not a top down approach of informing you of what is happening on the hill, it is getting your message to the right people on the hill. You can also experience the grass roots up approach as Martha Bell acts as your advocate to the Internal Revenue Service, again not just providing you with information on what is happening at the service, but taking your views and opinions to the service as your advocate.

The cost of being an affiliate is not an expense; rather, it is an investment, one that repays itself almost immediately. The annual fee is just $159.95 and that is for a full 12 months from your anniversary date. Plus, if you are a member of the National Society of Accountants (NSA) or the National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP), your annual affiliation fee is just $79.95. We believe that every practitioner should be a member of a national membership organization and reward that membership with reduced fees.

So, we ask again; why should you become an affiliate today? Can you provide as many reasons not to do so as we have provided for you to join in with us? We do not think so, so just click here and get started today. It is after all, the first day of the rest of your practice life!
